Signs of Spring Collection

If you are like me, the first signs of spring fill you with immense amounts of joy. After being stuck inside most of winter, hints of color and sunshine have the capability of filling my soul with energy. This new floral collection is giving me that same amount of joy. Every brushstroke and every peak of color is filling me with life and making me giddy for what’s to come this year. I hope this collection fills you with the same joy that I have felt creating these pieces. Each piece is a bundle of Spring’s beauty collected together in vases for a moment of awe at the divine details of the Creator.

This collection is inspired by new life and fresh starts. Last spring my backyard filled with flowers and butterflies creating our own little secret garden. Everyday my daughter and I would watch the butterflies flutter around and it would create a moment of peace as we took it all in. I hope these pieces provide that same sense of peace and add joy to your space to match the season.

Paisley Plants Collection

This collection was born from an idea I’ve had in my head for a while. I’ve always enjoyed painting flowers and plants but I kept imagining these abstract looking monstera plants with bright colors and expressive patterns. Since this is my first time to release a collection, it felt fitting to name it after my firstborn daughter, Paisley. The vibrant colors and patterns represent her personality so well. Much like these pieces, she’s expressive, full of energy and keeps me on my toes everyday.

A lot of my inspiration for this collection also comes from bohemian-style interiors that usually host a lot of indoor houseplants. I love having houseplants around, so for this collection I wanted to take something ordinary, like your everyday houseplant, and give it new life by using non-traditional colors and patterns that would create movement and dimension.

Color Scheme: Every painting has a first layer of fluorescent pink (far right). You can see little pops of the pink throughout the pieces.

I love painting on stretched canvases but I also wanted to experiment with painting on canvas paper. I fell in love with this material because it paints like a canvas but is more versatile in how it can be presented. It can be framed in a traditional glass frame or hung with a poster frame like I chose to do for four of the pieces. I really love the look of these original paintings being displayed like this!

The paintings in this collection will bring new life to any space with their vibrant colors and patterns.

These pieces were a labor of love and I really enjoyed putting this collection together. It challenged me as an artist to see the paintings not just as individual pieces but as a whole. The 3 different sizes and styles make it so there is something for everyone. I really hope you enjoy this collection!
